As you may have noticed I have started running full page ads on ScratchDrive. We have been receiving huge amounts of traffic (5,000+ uniques/day) from StumbleUpon and del.icio.us. Money has been tight for me lately and the increased ad revenue is really making a huge impact on my server fees. When the traffic dies back down I plan to pull the ads again, please bare with me. If you would like to help fund our server consider buying Web/Game/ShoutCast hosting from ScratchHosting.com.

Thanks to our good friend wthww we now have a third IRC server for tripple uptime redundancy. You can connect to the new server via irc3.scratchdrive.com or you can cycle between all three servers via the irc.scratchdrive.com round robin.

We have recently lost an IRC link due to pure childish behavior from an ex-oper. For the mean time irc.scratchdrive.com is run solely off of my server link (with another link soon to come). We have been having a bit of IRC downtime lately due to my router's hard drive taking a shit. The router has been replaced by yet another Coppermine PIII (720MHz) with 256MB of RAM and a fatty 20GB HD now backed with UPS; complete overkill for a home router. Keep in touch for further updates. The datacenter of which Genesis is located has just recently upgraded their network to a total of 71Gbits of Tier3 bandwidth. Response times have greatly been improved. Click for more information.

Unless you're blind or are completely new to this site you will notice a load of changes to the interface. I recently designed this template for a MacShadows.com forum contest and ended up losing! Huge server upgrades have taken place in the past few weeks and more are to come very soon. Genesis will soon be co-located to a server facility in Chicago, Illinois. Notice that some things on the site still may not work properly. Hang tight and get ready for some cool things to come!
